Teacher Spotlight

What

The UDL In Action: Teacher Spotlight highlights learning environments at both the elementary and  secondary levels focusing on the Guidelines, Principles, and Characteristics of an Expert Learner. The UDL In Action: Teacher Spotlight  showcases the intentional design of learning environments as teachers and students utilize tools, strategies, resources, options, and scaffolding in creative, innovative, and basic ways to support the implementation of Universal Design for Learning.

Why

The UDL In Action: Teacher Spotlight is an opportunity to share strategies and resources that support the continued implementation and optimization of Universal Design for Learning. Showcasing best practices and the basics of UDL In Action: Teacher Spotlight will leverage authentic learning environment design to support BCSC's commitment to deeper learning.  Transparency in the design and delivery of instruction will provide teachers with basic instructions on accessing and utilizing the tools for themselves and their students to remove and minimize barriers to learning as well as take into account learner variability.
